About WQEC

Water Quality & Erosion Control of Tennessee was founded in 2002 after federal and state NPDES Clean Water Act regulations that affected construction sites became a municipal focus. Since 2002, WQEC of TN has consulted on more than 500 commercial, institutional, residential, road, and infrastructure construction sites in Middle Tennessee.

WQEC was developed into a full service environmental consulting business by Jean Matthews, CPESC, CESSWI. WQEC is fundamentally involved in the evolution of the Tennessee Construction Storm Water General Permit and local Stormwater ordinances. WQEC specializes in helping our clients understand how federal, state and local environmental regulations can affect their projects before, during, and after construction.
